And welcome to the Echo Project :) You've addressed already all the comments I gave you on IRC and the icon is very good. I think it would be also better if you made the frame in 32x32 also 1px (instead of the current 2px) wide, I think it will look better. Now what I hadn't noticed in the png -- move the 256x256 16px lower, the 48x48 icon 3px lower, the 32x32 2px lower, the 22x22 1px lower and make the shadow in 22x22 more visible by expanding it and making it more blurry. That's in order to be better aligned horizontally with and look more consistent with folder icons. If you'd like you can also work further on the two icons that are present on the desktop so they would look more like real icons, although this would be probably only for 256x256 and 48x48 -- in smaller sizes there isn't much place for adding more details ;-) Now for Luya, Nicu and others who might want to comment on the icon. I've suggested (along with other icons, but he chose this one) this icon to Kris when he asked if he could help with Echo Perspective and suggested that he use similar metaphor that is in GNOME-Colors [1] as opposed to current Echo metaphor (not that is very different). I believe it works better, and even though it is a little similar to video-display, due to the different contexts in which these two icons are used (device vs. directory/place) I believe they cannot be confused by users.
