I am not active these days, but I was one of its founders, back when it was split from the Open Clip Art Library.
I belive that you are very aware of all the free font efforts out there, so it's just a reminder. :-)
Reading the initiative which started this all, http://mihmo.livejournal.com/45152.html, you will see the Open Font Library was one of the resources used.
I'll try to contribute as much as I can.
