Title: A Moment of Silence and Day of Service to Honor 9/11

Mark the Anniversary of 9/11 With Honor and Action

911 Memorial Beacons with Statue of Liberty Lower Manhattan

On September 11, the nation will pause to honor and remember the victims who perished on that horrific day in 2001.

Join USAGov on Friday at 8:46 AM ET for a moment of silence. This marks the exact minute Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. Be sure to remember other victims in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania and those lost in the rescue and recovery efforts.

Americans nationwide will volunteer or organize to give back to the community. Join them to commemorate victims, survivors, first responders, and all who have risen in service to defend our freedom.

Find out what projects are available to take part in at NationalService.gov.
