[New Blog] Working to Improve Information on Medication Use during Pregnancy
About half of the 6.3 million women who are pregnant every
year take at least one medication, and prescription use is on the rise. FDA is
continuing our work to help improve the information that doctors and pregnant

for College Women
Maintaining good health is a cornerstone for academic
success. FDA has tips to help college women stay safe and healthy while away at
college. Use these resources to help spread the word to young women about
health topics including medication safety, sleep problems, tattoos and much more. Share

As an additional measure in the fight against Zika virus,
the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that it has made available a
panel of human plasma samples to aid in the regulatory evaluation of
serological tests to detect recent Zika virus infection.

On
October 11 and 12, 2017, FDA will hold a public advisory committee meeting of
the Patient Engagement Advisory Committee (PEAC) at the Hilton in Gaithersburg. The committee will discuss and make
recommendations on the topic of patient input into medical device clinical
trials. This meeting will provide the opportunity to bring patients, patient
organizations, FDA, industry, and other medical and scientific experts together
for a broader discussion on this important patient-related issue.
