Finalizes Rule to Ensure Food Safety During Transport
The FDA has finalized a new rule that will
help to prevent food contamination during transportation. The rule will require
those involved in transporting human and animal food by motor or rail vehicle
to follow such practices as properly refrigerating food, adequately cleaning
vehicles between loads, and properly protecting food during transportation. See

What
information is required on a pet food label?
Pet food labeling is regulated at two levels.
The federal regulations, enforced by the FDA, establish standards applicable
for all animal feeds: proper identification of product, net quantity statement,
manufacturer's name and address, and proper listing of ingredients. Some states
also enforce their own labeling regulations. Want
