Marsha Henderson received the first-ever, Dr. Estelle Ramey Award for Women’s Health Leadership from the Society for Women's Health Research. She was honored for her over 25-year career serving as a champion for women’s health and advocate for the examination of sex differences. Mrs. Henderson was also noted for her ongoing leadership of the research and outreach activities at FDA’s Office of Women’s Health.
Dr. Estelle Ramey was a widely respected scientist and professor at Georgetown University who was one of the first researchers to call for studies on the impact of sex differences on health.
