Today, FDA released a new consumer article and video on reporting adverse events related to cosmetics. Entitled "Bad Reaction to Cosmetics? Tell FDA", these tools instruct consumers to contact FDA if they experience a rash, hair loss, infection, or other problem—even if they didn’t follow product directions. FDA also wants to know if a product has a bad smell or unusual color—which could signal contamination—or if the item’s label is incomplete or inaccurate.
The video and article can be accessed at: http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm241820.htm
