Title: Medicare & the Affordable Care Act

Are you a senior or a Medicare recipient? Do you have questions about how the Affordable Care Act will affect Medicare?

We’re gathering the top officials from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to answer your questions about some upcoming benefits you’ll see as a result of the Affordable Care Act.

Join our WebChat this upcoming Wednesday May 26, 11:00 A.M EDT at www.hhs.gov/live.

Marilyn Tavenner, Acting Administrator and Chief Operating Officer of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Caya Lewis, Chief of Staff for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will discuss HHS’ education and outreach efforts and will answer YOUR questions about how the Affordable Care Act will help America’s Medicare recipients.

Send your questions to healthreform@xxxxxxx and we’ll answer as many as possible during the WebChat. We will also take questions live from twitter using our handle @HHSGOV.

This week’s show is the ninth in the Affordable Care Act WebChat series. Tune in each week as we continue to talk about different aspects of the new health reform bill so that you, your family and friends can stay informed.

You can find previous WebChats on healthreform.gov and browse the site to find all the latest information available from HHS on the new law, including the first benefit that several million Medicare beneficiaries will receive as a result of the passage of the new law -- a one-time check for $250, if they enter the Part D donut hole and are not eligible for Medicare Extra Help.

Thanks for participating, and stay tuned to get all of your questions answered.

Jenny Backus
Acting Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs
& Moderator of the HHS Weekly WebChat
