Hiland Dairy Foods Company, LLC Announces Recall of Ice Cream Because of Possible Health Risk (February 4)

Hiland Dairy Foods Company has initiated a recall of various peanut-containing ice cream produced in its Springfield, MO plant because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
