Supplement Makers Warned to Stop Selling Illegal Steroids
FDA has warned the makers and distributors of two unapproved drugs containing steroids that continued sale of these illegal products could result in action such as seizure and injunction. The products, Anabolic Xtreme Superdrol and Methyl 1-P, have been marketed as dietary supplements and promoted for building muscle and strength. However, they may cause serious long-term health problems.

Guidelines Aimed at Curbing Entrapment in Hospital Beds
FDA has issued guidelines designed to reduce incidences of patients being caught or trapped between parts of hospital beds. Between January 1985 and January 2006, FDA received 691 reports of such entrapments, 413 of which resulted in death (though the agency suspects these figures are lower than the actual numbers). The guidelines will help families and health care professionals ensure a safe sleeping environment for patients in their care.
