FAA Proposes $241,200 Civil Penalty Against Streamline Aviation, Inc.
The FAA alleges Streamline failed to do proper maintenance on at least 62 landing gear parts on 31 work orders between February and July 2008. The FAA said Streamline did not conduct stress relief or magnetic particle examinations of parts covered by 27 work orders before measuring
important dimensions and applying cadmium plating to the parts.
In four other instances, Streamline allegedly did not mark final inspection documents with an inspector’s stamp, initials or signature, as required, before releasing repaired parts to service. FAA inspectors discovered the violations.
Streamline Aviation has 30 days from the receipt of the FAA’s enforcement letter to respond to the Agency.
