Kernel panic from EXT3 filesystem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi All,

I’m using FC3 with 2.6.9 SMP Kernel. The root file system is EXT3 and the volume is a XFS volume. While doing IO over a NFS v3 share, with ‘watch df’ running in parallel, kernel panic at SLAB memory is noticed. When searching Internet, I also noticed that similar KP are reported at free_block function; but could not find fix for this.

For me, this issue appears intermittently. It happens when doing IO over 60 NFS shares.

From the KP message it appears to be an issue in Linux SLAB memory module. Can anyone suggest a solution for this issue?  Is this issue already addressed in later kernel like 2.6.12?
