Is this for a 2.4 or 2.6 kernel?  In 2.4 you can't even have block devices
larger than 2TB, and in 2.6 the maximum (32-bit CPU) limit is 16TB.  In
theory ext3 can support a 4TB filesystem and 1TB files.
