Hows about trying out the htree code? Htree in conjunction with NFS would be great.
htree is out, but htree with nfs is left to be done.
would it also do if i create an ext3fs (with dir_index, without dir_index) on a file, mount it via loop and export this again to an NFS client?
or what about having nfs client and server on the same machine? would be much easier...
