Hello, At the prompt, type in your root password. You will be dropped to a shell. Type in 'cat /etc/mtab' and look for the line which contains '/home'. This lets you know what device /home is mounted on. It will probably be something like /dev/hda2. Once you ascertain which device /home is mounted on, run 'e2fsck -y /dev/foo' where foo is the device. Once fsck stops running, type reboot and the system will power cycle cleanly.
