Hardware failure is not possible in this case because everything is smooth
under windows 98.

Well.. now even worse.. low-level format doesn't do the trick anymore. Here is
the error pop up when the installation step is at copying image to harddrive
(the one after formatting the filesystem and /boot):

And the specs of the comp:
AMD K7 500 Mhz
Mem: 256 MB pc-100
HDD: Quantum Fireball 7.5 GB IDE/ATA (It's really in a fireball now :~( )
Kernel: don't remember, but it's the one comes with rh 7.3

At this moment, my comp doesn't have rh installed and it won't let me
install the OS by giving the above msg.
