Mr. Ivanov: I do not remember, I think when I did a fresh install of RH Linux 7.3 and I choose EXT3, but I may have done the tunefs I really do not remember. The point is, I would imagine either way it ought to work the same, no? I will make sure that both the /etc/fstab and rootflags are in force next I try to boot up that way. It seems that the kernel does't recogize this partition as ext3. How did you made this partition ext3 - did you format it with "mke2fs -j /dev/hda6" or use "tune2fs -j /dev/hda6" to make it. -------------- Cheers Ivan
