It'll be a while.  The patch which was done is a proof-of-concept
patch against ext2, and we're currently discussing ways to make it
work more effectively.

BTW, how limited is your laptop, anyway?  I'll note that $235 or less,
you can get a 30 gigabyte laptop drive, these days....

What options did you give to tune2fs?  And was the filesystem
unmounted at the time when you attempted to use tune2fs?  And what
version of tune2fs are you using?
