glXGetProcAddressARB, is it guaranteed on non-Linux systems ?

Greetings,

Having read the glXGetProcAddressNeverReturnsNULL page
(at https://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/glXGetProcAddressNeverReturnsNULL/), I'd like to know how the advice applies to systems other than (but similar to) Linux, such as FreeBSD.

More precisely, I'd be interested in knowing if there's any guarantee that glXGetProcAddressARB is always available on such systems. Perhaps it's a matter of whether or not they follow the OpenGL ABI for Linux.

Here's the context (if useful at all) : https://github.com/Daggerbot/x11-rs/issues/64. Basically it's for an Xlib binding for Rust.

Thanks in advance! (and apologies if I picked the wrong mailing list)

Yoan
