Well, forcing radeon_dp_get_dp_lane_number to return 2 did not help in my case
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90320) which means the bugs
aren't necessarily related :| My (unpatched) dmesg shows this DPCD, which seems
normal:

[drm:radeon_dp_getdpcd] DPCD: 11 0a 02 41 00 00 01 c0 02 00 00 00 00 09 00

Can you please provide a sample patch on how did you remove SS management and
where did you inserted the delays?

My panel may have slightly different spec than U38N, but I have a feeling the
problem may be the timings. Still trying to get my hands on the panel data,
only could find it @ panelook.com, but don't have 'p-coins' to get the PDF.
Does anyone have access to panelook.com?
