I have posted my detailed results at http://unix.stackexchange.com/a/148918/79761 -- in short, the radeon driver is an excellent piece of software (and is in fact saving my *** regarding processor choice, applying the bapm enabling patch you proposed). 3) One question remains -- can't bapm enabling become at least a parameter?
