Works now, 3.15.0-rc3 - no problems with the PITCAIRN_mc2.bin copied in
/usr/lib/modules/firmware/radeon.

Thanks Michel for clarification and help.

I won't touch the status of the bug report since I don't know if this one
should be marked as resolved untill mc2 parts hit the linux-firmware branch.
