https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68151 Bug ID: 68151 Summary: Backlight brightness change causes freeze (radeon with KMS) Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 3.13-rc6 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: high Priority: P1 Component: Video(DRI - non Intel) Assignee: drivers_video-dri@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Reporter: fabian@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Regression: No Created attachment 120871 --> https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=120871&action=edit Output of hwinfo If I change the backlight brightness using the brightness keys on my keyboard, sometimes the system freezes. SysRq doesn't work. Mobility radeon 5470 with KMS enabled. I first noticed this when upgrading openSUSE from 12.3 (3.7.10) to 13.1 (3.11.6). I have to use "acpi_backlight=vendor" to disable acpi_video0, which isn't working and has a higher priority than radeon_bl0. Reproducible: Always The hwinfo was created with the older, working kernel running. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching the assignee of the bug. _______________________________________________ dri-devel mailing list dri-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/dri-devel
