I'm getting artifacts (tearing) in my XBMC GUI.

I'm using:
VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Richland
[Radeon HD 8470D]
Linux xbmc 3.12.0-rc6 #1 SMP Sat Oct 19 22:49:21 CEST 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64
GNU/Linux

here are some other logs:
d-mesg - http://paste.ubuntu.com/6283599/
xbmc.log - http://paste.ubuntu.com/6283600/
X.org log - http://paste.ubuntu.com/6283606/
DISPLAY=:0 vdpauinfo - http://paste.ubuntu.com/6283614/
dpkg -l |grep mesa - http://paste.ubuntu.com/6283620/

i thought maybe this was a duplicate of the Bug ID 63997, but that is for the
DRI drivers. I'm using Gallium 0.4 on AMD ARUBA

I'm also copying over another posters logs, as he is seeing the same things:
My XBMC system is useless until there is a fix. Thank you to whoever figures
this out.
