If you don't access those > debugfs files, that code in question is never called. Perhaps the fault is not that commit, but 3.11.3 worked entirely without problems. After the upgrade to 3.11.4 similar problems began to arise. I tried to roll back this commit, and was able to work at a computer for long enough.
