I've tested the new DPM code (git://people.freedesktop.org/~agd5f/linux drm-next-3.11) on my rs780. I can reproducible hang my system by just copy/pasting a big document under LibreOffice. During the hang the keyboard is unusable and the mouse pointer only moves noncontinuous and jerky. Hitting the reset button is the only remedy. By disabling DPM the problem goes away.
