Alas, I'm not really sure what the right place is, I just know this isn't it. The specs don't give us any clues. The DP specs says absolutely nothing about when this could or should be written. *Maybe* in intel_ddi_pre_enable() or intel_mst_pre_enable_dp()? Before sending any SDPs.
