rc6 is an extremely fickle beast, but generally you see those messages
right before the gpu dies. So I'll bet there's more than just those
messages in dmesg. In any case, please try out the latest upstream
driver sources first for mesa (9.1 branch) and kernel (3.8-rc series)
to ensure it's not a know bug. If it still hangs you /should/ get a
line about i915_error_state in debugfs in dmesg. Please file a bug
report on bugs.freedesktop.org with that file attached (and citing all
the git versions you've used for testing).
