Every dvo chip works in a slightly different way, so the next step is
trying to figure out how to program this chip. I guess you could take
another dvo chip that also drives lvds as an example (e.g. ivch or
ch7017). Last time I've checked the patch it does only detect the dvo
chip and doesn't change anything with the modeset within the dvo chip.
So things should work if you use the exact same mode as the bios (and
otherwise you get bands/tearing or just a black screen).
