I called it a "fix", in quotation marks for a reason. I've barely looked at the KMS/DRM stuff for an hour, so I have no clue what I'm doing. I just wanted to show the AMD guys that we have pinpointed the problem, give them something that we can confirm no longer produces the problem, and hope that they'd go ahead and do things correctly.
