from Robert Strube
Quick question: Is it possible to completely disable the Vega M using kernel boot parameters. I did try using pci-stub.ids=xxxx:xxxx with the PCI hex id for my Vega M (1002:694e) but amdgpu was still applied to the device, not sure why. I also thought there was explicit PCI device blacklisting support in the kernel, but I have been unable to find any documentation on this. Ideally I'd like to see if having the Vega M disabled allows the eGPU to be correctly initialized. I took a look at the documentation for amdgpu, but I didn't see any boot parameters that stood out at me. Blacklisting the amdgpu module wouldn't work either, as I need that to correctly support the RX 580 once it's attached. Thanks!
