Read patch 2 more careful, we always reset damage when duplicating state. So it's one-shot (like fences). But you might also want to ignore damage (and do a full upload) in other cases, like a modeset, or when you move your plane between crtc. This function here is for that. And yes this should be explained in the kerneldoc. And _clear_damage is not a great name for what it's meant to do, that's just what it does. I think in the past I've suggested _full_damage() or something like that. -Daniel > > > +} > > + > > void drm_plane_enable_fb_damage_clips(struct drm_plane *plane); > > int > > drm_atomic_helper_damage_iter_init(struct drm_atomic_helper_damage_iter *iter, > > -- > > 2.17.1 > > > > _______________________________________________ > > dri-devel mailing list > > dri-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/dri-devel > > -- > Ville Syrjälä > Intel > _______________________________________________ > dri-devel mailing list > dri-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/dri-devel -- Daniel Vetter Software Engineer, Intel Corporation http://blog.ffwll.ch _______________________________________________ dri-devel mailing list dri-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/dri-devel
