Can confirm this is still an issue with current Mesa / LLVM git on Radeon HD 7970. Also the game has huge fps drops in certain areas. The bug is now almost two years old and makes the game unplayable. Its really a pity that no dev found time to fix this. I guess its time that AMD or Valve contracts a company to care for those bugs and general driver quality.
