There are several reports about AMD Radeon flickering on Gnome Wayland in other issue trackers. For me the flickering only happens after that my system resumed from suspend. Some issue reports that this bug is related to power (management). See for more details, see also: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/issues/22 and the references to other issues in the above mentioned issue.
