Just installed and booted the new kernel. It seems to have fixed the issue at
least to the extent that it would not totally crash the system like it used to.
However, I still see these in journalctl. This is after I locked the screen
then wake the screen up 3 times.

The "failed to get VBLANK" errors still appear, and the 1st time seems to have
crashed something, but the system still works, and there are no traces of
crashes like that from the 1st time, during the 2nd and 3rd time.
