A snippet from /var/log/messages

Starting sometime after 17.2.5, all 17.3.0_rc versions I've tried have caused
some applications to crash randomly. On occasion an application will take
longer to crash, but it almost always does.

My graphics card reports as Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Lexa PRO
[Radeon RX 550] (rev c7)

My distro is Gentoo ~AMD64, and my mesa flags are "classic d3d9 dri3 egl
gallium gbm gles2 llvm nptl opencl osmesa wayland"

I almost never see anything in dmesg or /var/log/messages, with the exception
of a few messages that are attached.

I should add that it seems to only be the application that crashes, I have not
noticed any ill effects on any other part of my system. In addition, it does
not seem to be application or even language dependant, having noticed it in a
Unity game (which is C#) and a Java game.

To reproduce it, I simply start the application and begin using it, after some
time it will simply crash.
