Guys please keep in mind that GPUs are programmable processors. So when an application sends an shader with an infinity loop to the driver there is absolutely nothing the driver Mesa stack can do about that. As Jozef correctly pointed out the best thing we can do is resetting the GPU after a timeout, but that is really complex and doesn't work all the time. Anyway closing this bug since the original issue is fixed.
