omapdrm takes a ref to the panel module when it's in use, and
panel_sony_acx565akm has refcount of 0. So for some reason the display
setup has not been done, or it's been deferred.

I think you're missing connector_analog_tv
(CONFIG_DRM_OMAP_CONNECTOR_ANALOG_TV).

I just tried beagleboard, it seems to work ok on next.
