However, while it freezes the system when the game is run on its own in the above configuration, when it's being traced, the freeze doesn't happen. Anyway, this will probably be of interest to find some issue in Mesa / amdgpu, but otherwise, I figured out that the freeze is gone if Wine is built skipping this patchset: wined3d-Copy_Resource_Typeless.
