on bug 95306
from cyrwyn
I had already removed vga=788 from command line. It makes no difference. It was meant just to set the display resolution for grub before the kernel boots. However, grub2 now requires other instructions. New info to report. I reinstalled amdgpu and created the xorg.conf file. This was the first time that the installer (XFdrake) reported the resolution correctly and I didn't have to manually configure it. Now I get a randomly flashing screen and still no keyboard input. Before, it was a blank screen with the backlight on, now the light is on/off irregularly every few seconds. I'm not sure this is progress, but perhaps it is a clue for someone who knows the driver well.
