So, any suggestions? Looks like this only happens in combination with this specific monitor?! I also have the mentioned ASUS MG279Q. But I already tried ignoring edid and force the Modeline, which didn't work. Doesn't seem we have a "good" state for bisecting either. I have no clue about PLL signalling or display hardware programming.
