(In reply to Alex Deucher from comment #5) openSUSE Tumbleweed is a rolling release distribution; All system packages are updated and tested together, and running them in untested configurations could break my machine... the old ones are also removed from repository I believe. Since this is my main computer, I can't take such a risk unfortunately.
