That is strange. This sounds very much like a problem I and another user encountered with an older version of Mesa: https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/3317 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96860 Upgrading to Mesa 12.0.0 fixed it, however. I cannot really provide further clues as I am currently not seeing the issue.
