It seems to me that nothing being done currently in the radeon and switcheroo
code guarantees that the ATI card is powered on before probing the hardware. I
tried adding a call to the ATPX method to turn on power from
radeon_register_atpx_handler(), but this doesn't seem to be helping. Can anyone
comment on what steps need to be taken to ensure that the card is powered on
before proceeding with hardware initialization?
