For example techpowerup review shows that r 480 has really high idle voltage and power consumption. An in my linux box it seems to draw around 25w or more during idle stuff. And the fan speed is really slow and gpu card temperature high, even at idle.
I wouldnt mind even losing some of the gpu power or memory speed to gain some more effiency in idle use. |
