This laptop ist brandnew, so i just used kernel-2.6.35.? (Ubuntu LiveCD),
kernel-2.6.31.1 and 2.6.37-rc5+, everytime with the same whitescreen issue.

No, didn't work. Screen still becomes white on
'xset dpms force off'.
