This would indicate a general problem with Mesa. Could you reassign the bug report to component "Mesa core", and perhaps retitle it to something like "[regression] glsl2 merge broke Heroes of Newerth"? Using MESA_GLSL=log to dump the shaders, there are no compilation errors.
