Usually all patches in the patch series should get ack/review before series is applied, though it really depends on preferences of a particular maintainer. I may suggest to factor out the "tracepoints addition" into a standalone patch since it's a bit more questionable than the other patches and hence make a v4 that includes patches 1-4 from v3.

The "accurate reporting of dma state" patch doesn't depend on this patchset and hence could be handled in parallel. I'd want to see "accurate reporting" applied ASAP since it fixes a real problem with audio playback, it even may worth requesting a stable backport for the patch by adding appropriate stable-tag to the commit message.
