Using SuSE10 with multipath-tools-0.4.6-25.8 and device-mapper-1.02.03-8.2, I am having the following problem. When I set a LUN to read-only on the storage controller, the LUN does not show up under "multipath -l". The following debug messages show up from multipathd for the read-only device: Jan 23 11:56:35 | mpath6: set ACT_CREATE (map does not exist) Jan 23 11:56:35 | mpath6: domap (0) failure for create/reload map Meanwhile I see the following entries in /var/log/messages: Jan 24 08:58:36 suse10 kernel: device-mapper: dm-multipath: error getting device Jan 24 08:58:36 suse10 kernel: device-mapper: error adding target to table If the LUN is set to read/write access I have no problems. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?
