Hello, please consider the following flawed behaviour : # echo '0 32 linear /udev/cciss!c0d0 32036160'|dmsetup create foo device-mapper ioctl cmd 9 failed: Invalid argument Command failed # dmesg | tail device-mapper: error adding target to table device-mapper: device doesn't appear to be in the dev hash table. device-mapper: : dm-linear: Device lookup failed same with : echo '0 32 linear /dev/cciss/c0d0 32036160'|dmsetup create foo should I consider this a bug ? anyway, it bites kpartx hard : no partition mapping over cciss for now.
